Licensing SOFTPRO E-Signing Solution Purchased Offline - via SOFTPRO Sales Team & Partner
The procedures described on this page applies if you have ordered your license for SOFTPRO E-Signing Solutions offline via our Sales TeamSales Partner
Prepare Purchase
- Install SignDoc Desktop on the machine where you intend to run the software with the full license.
- Start SignDoc Desktop
- Navigate to "Help > License Information"
- Press the button "Copy Installation Code".
(The installation code will be stored in your clipboard).
Request License
Open your e-mail client to create an
e-Mail to SOFTPRO License Management
e-Mail to SOFTPRO License Management
Paste your Installation Code from the clipboard (via "Ctrl" + "v") into the e-mail and enter the following details:
- Name of the application and SOFTPRO product number (e.g. "SignDoc Desktop = # SP20300"
"SignDoc for Adobe Reader = # SP20050") - Your order confirmation number (which you have received from SOFTPRO or one of our partners)
- Your full contacts details (such as company name, postal address, first and last name, phone number and e-mail)
- Name of your key contact at SOFTPRO or one of our partners. (In case if you have ordered through a partner please provide us with contact details of that person)
Providing us with these details will help us to serve you as efficient as possible.
Install License
- Open License Viewer in SignDoc Desktop again.
- Press button “Install License” and browse to folder on your desktop where you temporarily stored your license file which will be copied into the appropriate location automatically.
- Restart SignDoc Desktop.
Default location of SignDoc Desktop License - when using an operation system with English language definition:
"C:\Program Files\SOFTPRO\SignDoc\lmdata\SignDoc.lic"

Backup License
Strongly recommended: Backup License File
Prevent the accidental loss of your license.- Keep a backup copy of your license file preferrably on an external (hard) disk or on a "safe" location on your computer
- If you uninstall SignDoc (e.g. because you want to set up your machine in upgrading to a new operation system) keep in mind that during the uninstallation process all the application files will be removed from your computer - including your license file (.lic).
When reinstalling SignDoc on your system you will need to copy your license file again into the corresponding installation directory.
Request of Licenses for Demonstration Purposes
If you are entitled to receive licenses as part of promotion or marketing activities - e.g. as a partner of SOFTPRO -- Follow the instructions as outlined in the segment "Request License" above

- Make sure to reference the respective agreeement to receive licenses for demonstration purposes and copy your relevant personal contact within SOFTPRO in your e-Mail to our Pre-Sales Team to ensure that your inquiry can be handled as efficient as possible.
