SOFTPRO has a long track record with verification of payment forms, especially with signature verification on cheques and giros (wire transfers) but also with other verification technologies.

Besides solutions that support physical items review and workflow solutions for visual review, SOFTPRO introduced Automatic Signature Verification into its flagship product suite SignPlus as early as 1994 in production at a Swiss bank. Biometric signature verification was introduced in production in 2002 for online verification at the teller window. Since 2004 SOFTPRO has provided additional cheque verification features outside of signatures based on various image analysis and OCR/ICR engines.

The Automatic Signature Verification capability of SignPlus and SignWare is founded on SIVAL, a neural-net-based verification engine as well as on SOFTPRO’s dynamic signature verification engine ADSV. The Automatic Image Analysis capability of SignPlus is based on third party engines of different renowned engine vendors.
