Signature Verification on scanned Images and electronic Documents

Whether they are placed on paper cheques and contracts, or whether they seal electronic documents, the ability to verify creates trust in signatures.

For decades various organisations - especially banks - have struggled with the need to validate customer authorisations to contracts and transactions because of the sheer volume that is characteristic for today's operations. Once such authorisations come in on paper with the customer not present, the standard way of validating customer intent and identity is to verify his signature. This has been the case for hundreds of years. This can be still valid with modern day electronic documents. If this verification is done automatically, the struggle will ease up quickly.

Static and biometric verification at its best Static and biometric verification at its best

The Automatic Signature Verification (ASV) technology is used in the SignPlus Product Suite, in SignArchive and in SignWare. Various scenarios where either image signatures or full biometric signatures need to be verified are supported by the products and solutions from SOFTPRO. In the FraudOne Solution Family, ASV is the prime module among the detection technologies employed.

A static verification engine for scanned images, multiple image preprocessing techniques to deal with the image issues of scanning, and a biometric verification engine for pad-based signatures are the core of SOFTPRO's signature verification capabilities.
