SOFTPRO Delivers for United Parcel Service
To eliminate the signing of paper documents, United Parcel Service (UPS) has integrated SOFTPRO’s E-Signature solution into its retail business processes.

Although it’s common to sign for the delivery of packages on handheld devices, the process of shipping from retail locations did not utilize the same technology and, in fact, relied on paper and pen.
Today, United Parcel Service is deploying SOFTPRO’s E-Signature software to also automate the signing process in retail locations. The solution captures the customer’s handwritten signature captured on a SignPad through a browser and eliminates the need to sign on paper. Everyone wins: United Parcel Service has a more efficient and cost-effective process, the customer has an easier signing experience, and the environment gets a break from avoidable paper generation.
Rodney G. Vesling, President and General Manager for SOFTPRO North America comments: “Working with a leader in worldwide package delivery is an honor for me and my team. Fitting our E-Signature technology into the infrastructure of a business as efficient, cost-effective, and reliable as United Parcel Service was a challenge we were up for and enjoyed.”
