Signature Tablets without LCD Screens

Suitable choice for situations in which
  • a customer should receive a paper receipt with the signature on it anyway
  • a signature on paper is still required for legal reasons
  • entry level priced devices are needed to fit the budget
  • the primary goal is to capture a signature image

Many large installations in the world work with these kind of tablets. They are usually combined with monitors displaying the content to sign. Click on the images of the devices below for details.

Make Wet Signatures meet Electronic Signatures

Wherever simulteaneous signing both hard copy and electronic version is required using special inking pens makes sense. They are the alternative to the standard pen (digitizer) with its polyacetal tip. They enable signing on paper which is positioned on top of the non-LCD tablet.
  • The digital data of a signature is captured unobtrusively through a connection between the digitized inking pen and the sensor mat.
  • Meanwhile, the signer is able to write on paper as usual, and the sensor records the precise hand movements of the signer.

Additional benefits of Going "Fully" Paperless

Whenever possible SOFTPRO recommends choosing signature capturing devices with LCD screens – such as
SignPads Interactive Pen Displays Tablets and Tablet PCs

Benefits of these devices include:

  • Achieving higher savings by reducing the amount of paper in the workflow
  • Signers tend to trust the technology more because they can view the document they are signing on the tablet screen - or at least a relevant extract of the document for the particular purpose of signing
